Falling in love with AS3

I just got my hands on brand new release of Adobe AIR. I just love it. At the beginning AS3 was a bit scary for me. Many things have changed and I was avoiding doing anything in AS3, because my coding history in Flash goes back to Flash 4, so I have strong old habits. But then along came Adobe AIR and everything changed.

I’ve been playing around with it and I just love the clarity and all the desktop-related functionality. I’m sure you’ll be seeing some cool small apps from me build in AIR (cross-platform). In fact… while playing around I build new CustomEffects Deployer for myself. Everything left to do is to create CuftomEffects Installer, which I’ll try to deliver as soon as possible. No more problems with installing my CustomEffects (I hope).

  1. I went to the website but im still not entirely sure what Adobe AIR is about, would you please just explain? Sorry to bother you, fantastic site btw, yr one of my Live Bookmarks so im always checking for updates, I just wish I would afford to contribute to you :) xx
