Happy AfterEffecting – LIVE!
Posted on 11. Sep, 2009 by Jerzy Drozda Jr in Blog
Thanks to your encouragement I’ve been thinking about running my own LIVE! show for quite some time now. Last Wednesday I thought it’s about time to finally do something about it, so I registered at UStream.tv and hosted the first episode of my show called “Happy AfterEffecting with Maltaannon“. It was simply a test broadcast to see how it works, what it feels like and what kind of responses I’ll get from you. To my surprise it was a total success, even though I announced it only on Twitter and Facebook 6 hours in advance, so I’d like to thank you all for being there.
In the show I’ll be talking about many aspects of working in the motion graphics, visual effects and postproduction industry, running your own company, dealing with clients and most of all I’ll be answering your questions. Other than that I plan to do some LIVE! tutorials as well. If that turns out as good as the first episode of “Happy AfterEffecting” then maybe I’ll host another show only for LIVE! tutorials, tips and tricks.
The first broadcast went for over 2 hours and it was super fun. I did record some of it so you have a chance to see what it was like in case you missed it. The recording is only 20 mins long, but I plan to record full meetings in the future. Anyway I think it’s best to be there and participate LIVE! as the show is “on air”.
Next broadcast is 09/16/2009 3:00pm PST and the subject will be: Creativity, education and success. Make sure to register on UStream.tv so you can chat with me live once you’re there. See you online!

i always follow your tutorials, quite well (and… many thanks –many, many thanks! –) and this was a good method to have a tutorial about your website, thanks again! i noticed you have hostmonster.com listed in your recommendations. and i was wondering why you chose to host with them?

Can’t really afford any better hosting at this time. The one that would really make a difference costs about 750USD per month. I choose Hostmonster, because when I set my account smart it handles the huge traffic quite well, and they have great support.

Don’t know if this is up your alley, but a lot of prosumer/consumer camcorders these days don’t do well in low light or with dark colors. You get a lot of grain.
I’d love to see an example of fixing grainy footage without blurring it out.
