Cool 3D stuff

Posted on 17. Dec, 2009 by in LIVE!

Random discussion on all the ways of achieving many 3d looks in After Effects with, and without use of external plugins. Covered old school techniques (like duplicating layers), more innovative (like my 3D ShapeExtruder), Tea Cups With Lids Amber Rings Wholesale Tea Trays Toddler Sleeping Bags and plugins.

This enduring engagement ring setting is crafted in 18k yellow gold ring with a low dome design for a comfortable fit.

In the second part (which did not get recorded) we’ve created a Christmas tree using Trapcode Particular and 3D Serpentine. Also – I gave away a copy of Zaxwerks Serpentine, Toolfarms AE Camera Training, and my very own Youveelizer plugin.

It was much fun. See you next year.

Thx for the answer mr. Expression ;)

But a nice Flash Countdown for the Shows would be nice ;)

Thanks for the podcast. Here is a project I posted on Vimeo. I think the 3D illusion worked pretty well. No plug-ins. All After Effects with scripting.

    Great lesson :)

And I’m sure you already have figured this out. But if you set the text layer to be the same as the name of the comp it is in, all you have to do is change the comp name and all text layers will change to match. That way you can simply duplicate the comp and name each to be what you want the text to read. Love your work. You rock!
